I use it when it really hot and I'm walking out of a building and I can see the car. Not very often. It would be nice it you could put them up. I would use that more

Yep
You must've hit the unlock twice and held the button down. I remember when keyless remotes first came out with the trunk release. You'd walk out of a bar and see all kinds of trunks open.
