Sugarbush Conditions

After a great day yesterday today was even better. Absolutely blew yesterday away.

Visited my old friend Glen Ellen and was greeted to a uncrowded sunny windblown all you can ski buffet of powder bumps. As a unexpected bonus Northridge actually ran (yes it's true). Truly an incredible day and days like today remind me of why all the driving, expense, planning, and logistics to go ski are all worth it.

Great photos. Sugarbush remains my one of my favorites in the East. Mt Ellen is an absolute gem.

I miss the days when Ellen was my local. That shot you took off the summit looking down Panorama is the best ski area view in the east IMO.

Skiing Ellen today, crowds are manageable and the conditions are good.
I would think it's gotta be incredible at Ellen right now. I was there in Mid January and it was already stellar with everything open and they've gotten so much more snow since then.

Going to Sugarbush in a couple weeks for just a day of skiing and some apres Lawsons. Really looking forward to it as we haven't been to Sugarbush for several years. I like Lawsons but if there's someplace else that has great beers I'm open for suggestions.

PS-- OMG if we didn't have our Ikon passes it would be $195pp!

I would avoid Sugarbush this weekend as the Vice President is going to be there.

We already canceled our reservations and rescheduled for next weekend. My wife and I don't want to be caught up in a shit show at the mountain or anywhere in town.

With that said I'm really curious as to how they'd secure the lifts and runs? Would Secret Service be skiing with them with guns in hand? Snipers on lift towers and behind rocks?

Hopefully someone will be brave enough to be there and report back...but it won't be me😁

When the Clintons 1st came to the village of Skaneateles, Doug, The Flounder of Doug’s Fish Fry, said he wouldn’t serve them and the joint next door named a baloney sammich after them.
