Nordic skiers are tougher! So alpine skiers will crowd out nordic skiers parking at the Stowe nordic center. Brilliant.
LOL. Camp, back in the day, I used to go in on a house share near Sugarbush for a 3 day weekend. I'd go up to Trapp Family Lodge with whateverNordic skiers are tougher!
Trapp puts out my favorite beer. Their pilsner is so good.LOL. Camp, back in the day, I used to go in on a house share near Sugarbush for a 3 day weekend. I'd go up to Trapp Family Lodge with whateverhardy soulssuckers were interested. Ski up to the Trapp cabin, then down the Ranch Camp trail to the Stowe nordic center. Ski a lap around Stowe, then return to Trapp. A long but fun day. About 25 km round trip.
In Vail ya can get guaranteed parking, only gotta cough up $5.5K for the privilege.I don't get the idea of buying a parking pass if you might not be able to use it.
Another fave Trapp story. First time I ever went there, 4 or 5 cars ago. I thought the hotel was the ski lodge. I went into the lobby and heard a woman draped in furs telling the concierge, "No, cross country skiing is for the riff raff."Trapp puts out my favorite beer. Their pilsner is so good.
Trapp lodge is amazing. The masonry outfit I worked for did some work there. Pretty cool place to work for a month.
