For sure it's a mess. Been snowing 37 hours by my count. Finally tailing off.

Hopefully the folks coming up early for the eclipse have prepared for the winter in spring weather. The snow plow & towing folks could make some quick bank.

We just have a little snow (~1”) stuck to the trees & covering up the mud in CNY. Still snowing. That’ll all melt soon.

I was just about to the summit of WF when the lift stopped, not a second later the guy next to me gets a call from his wife, "DID YOU FEEL THAT!?" I heard from over his ear buds. We were convinced we'd be stuck for a while, fortunately it got up and spinning just moments later, huge sigh of relief.

On an ADK hiking group on Facebook, dude wants to drive up Monday and hike to the top of Cascade Mt with his 8 year old.

Today was almost - ALMOST - mid winter conditions at Mt van Ho. Best conditions that I've seen on the 1980 trails this year. Too bad it's gonna be in the 50s on eclipse day.

When I hiked the AT in The Smokies in the springtime ya could tell where the wild pigs messed up the woods...
