Snow Ridge Conditions

More information please.

Surprised no one has posted the Snow Ridge statement on the incident.

Kudos to The Ridge folks for the transparency.
H2O expanding and contracting is a powerful force. Breaks pipes & rocks.

18 in of lake effect has fallen on Snow ridge between Thursday and Friday. It's extremely light and fluffy. Only one lift running today with access to the North slope. Everything in the middle of the trowel is tasty. Dipped into the woods got to choose your line. There's a few light spots but you can have fun.

Yep, more is falling

I made a good destination choice today. It was packed powder and some powder today at Snow Ridge. Only South Slope and nearby was open before 11:30 while North Slope trails were being groomed. I enjoyed everything except the rocks and dirt on parts of Kuersteiner. The groomed runs were great, as was the ungroomed packed powder on most of North Slope. The best packed powder run was right under the lift, and there was plenty of powder to find in the trees. I wasn't the only one having a great time in Silver Glades. Nothing else north of Silversmith was open (sure looked like it would be fun though). Glad I chose to chase the recent snow by going west today instead of over into southern Vermont.
