Skiers: If You Could Move Anywhere... ?

I'd sail the sound with orca in the warmer months, and ski Baker all winter.

I've daydreamed about moving to France or Italy to live out my days. Recently spoke with a British expat who's lived in the south of France for decades. She has one adult child here in the US and one living in Italy. Says the Italian bureaucracy makes life difficult.

Currently looking for a house in the Tri Lakes area. Elizabethtown, Saranac Lake, Jay, Vermontville? Not a trophy house. Ideally, on a half acre or more, so I can crank the electric guitar. Your comments welcome on different locations.

Because the town and home I live in now would be tough to replicate, my first choice would be to have a mountain like Alta moved to my town
