Ski Gloves

I have a lot more control with gloves,
Where do you use the control?

I'm always taking pictures and can't manage that with mittens or gloves.

If it's really cold I'll put a mitten warmer inside and pop them off to shoot. The mittens go on and off fast, and while they are off the warmers (activated by air) crank up extra hot, to hook up my fingers when I put them back in.

And you can't use the hand warmers on your finger tips in a glove.

Mostly short turns, trees, bumps where I might need to get my pole plant far enough downhill in very little time/effort I release lower fingers to let pole swing out with less arm/wrist action, gloves seem to grip better for 3 and 4 point landings including absorbing bumps back in the day

OK I think we've established you are a far better skier than I.

I stand corrected.

Malasian death grip left hand on pole that absorbed a good amount of pressure right hand holding a tea glass they use to say, back then taking 207’s thru bumps you had to use poles more to absor , they would flex pretty good, these days I am letting technology do more of the work dude on right is Glenn Plake

Chopping trees. Applying greenb wax. Lots of thing I don't want to take my glove of to do. Mittens may be better for pictures. I can't get my gloves of and on easy a lot of times. I use my nose to take the picture. I would ask if you can keep your hands warm with gloves why would you use mittens?

I was talking skiing. For working I use gloves. MTB too, easier to shift. Although I have ridden my bike with mittens in a pinch.

similar thing with masks now too...

Yep, as Broski mentioned I wear Hestra patrol gloves when super cold. Can't beat their leather with lambs wool inserts. Toasty.
Pulled the trigger on some patrol gloves, they look to be the best available. Keeping them clean looks to be biggest issue with them.

Been using leather ski gloves for decades .

My gloves go back to the mid 90's they are indestructable . Couple years ago my son bought me leather ski mittens with the Trigger finger separated from the rest of the mitten , on really nasty days those babys are awesome
