In 2021 they restricted lift capacity but that’s over and they still open the gondola and AE2 first thing. The busiest days they should open the BRQ at 830 as well, and open at least one upper mountain lift too. They probably don’t have enough patrollers to do that.

The real reason for the proposal would to allow another location to park and access the mountain. The trails would be connector trails and one leading back to the new lodge location

That plan doesn’t add any parking, it just makes G lot easier. The last thing Gore needs is more south facing connector trails. Better to just add more G lot shuttles.
Better yet, get there early.

They load gondola full when there’s a line. It would help if they could figure out a singles line at the AE2.
Also, someone should explain to them that, until at least one upper mountain lift is open, the real takeaway capacity from the base is zero.

They used to load 8 people on the gondola and now they only load 6, if that. I've seen many cabins go up on busy days with only 4 or 5.

Even when the AE2 has a singles line you always see more 2s and 3s than you see 4s. They also run it about 200 fpm slower than they used to, which further reduces capacity.
