Portable Speakers

ROFLMAO.

I was considering breaking his nose, but instead...

I calmly asked if he had any music without curse words. He said “Yes” so I said, “You should play that instead, especially when there are kids around”

That's classic Rip as far as I can tell.

At Belleayre after the last storm we pushed off from the summit passed a crew with someone with a speaker dangling from their waist. It was blaring rap music with lyrics I can’t even post here, so we scooted ahead. Peanut and I made our way down the first pitch of Onteora and waited for mom in the safe zone at the dogleg. The person, who is not even a kid, he’s a young man old enough to know better, comes down and stops right next to us like nothing is going on. I’m standing there with a child in a hulahoop listening to someone shout about f@€%ing b!+ches p@$$ie$. All he can say is “Dude that was so sick” referring to the congested ice luge we somehow just navigated. I was incensed. We met up with mom and before we pushed off I calmly asked if he had any music without curse words. He said “Yes” so I said, “You should play that instead, especially when there are kids around” and then skied away. Now I’m not a violent person but I did think saying something could potentially lead to a fistfight situation. I was prepared. Maybe this wouldn’t be a problem if having your teeth knocked out was a possible consequence.
We're gonna party if you hit GP

My son made a similar request of guy in line at Hunter who's speaker was blasting some pretty nasty stuff while my Grandkids were in line, the guy apologized and shut the speaker off, but a macro position , no matter what music you are playing probably there are a lot of people within earshot who really don't want to hear it. Here's a newsflash there are earbuds, earphones even earmuffs with speakers or head bands with speakers, you can listen while you ski all you want , and not bother other people who have paid to ski not hear your music.

Your such a dirt bag.

One year my neighbor got a SPAC membership as a job perk (instead of like a living wage) which meant we could all get good tickets before the public sale. I broke my credit card getting shows like Neil Young and Ziggy Marley etc. We all passed on Neil Diamond. Then I went to Milo Jr's Little League game and all the single moms were squirming in the bleachers talking about Neil Diamond. Total market misjudgment on my part.

Friday fun with preach, camp?

Haha . Ski areas need to have a policy against this obnoxious BS ! Ripitz is a better man than me.

A number of years ago I was skiing with my son and had him standing on the top of a jump spotting for me when some park rat blaring music stopped next to me yells drop in . I was clearly waiting for all clear as we were talking to each other. I go and said rat apparently starts Fing me out. I didn’t hear him but my son asked me if I heard what he said. I lost it and chased him down and left him have a stern but clean language lesson about slope etiquette. He cowered and turned tail .

I hope you threw a sweet daffy before losing your shit.
