As per Laz himself after the raffle…..never say never. He said to the crowd that maybe they can preserve the double for one more go, maybe.
Hard to see it, what with a steady diet of 60s, 70s and even 80 over the next week, but I like his enthusiasm!

What was the deal with those kids (I hope none of them were out of their teens) who thought it was cool to ski the grass, sometimes in long sections? You know those kids aren’t paying for their own tune ups, surely Mom and Dad will pay the extra $30 for the resulting base repair! Did it look kinda cool for a moment here or there? Sure, until one of ‘em on a long grass section hit a rocky patch and yard sale’d, with deserved face plant into the grass/dirt. He got up so it was hard to feel bad for him, and what did he really think was gonna happen….assuming he was thinking at all?
Yeah. I tried to see if I could notice you, but there were probably more people in Ski Patrol jackets than paying customers! Seriously, Platty has to have the highest ratio of patrol to skiers than any mountain on the planet, which is way cool! I did see the Harvey posse once from the lift. I also passed Harvey late in the day at the top of North Face, but he was in the middle of a convo so I didn’t interrupt.
