Plattekill Conditions

All I can say is very soft snow and tons of sunshine. Could not ask for more!
Great beer also from the Catskills brewery .

First (and last day) of the season at Platty today. Glorious indeed! Perfect weather and soft snow (and still pretty good coverage). Shout out to everyone who rode with my son on the double so I could ride with my daughter!
Same here. First and likely last day and it was well worth the trip. Was tempted to do Gore as they got some snow but I think Platty was the better call. Perfect spring weather and to echo others. Glorious.

Got some great corn harvesting in earlier in the day everywhere. By afternoon it got a little sloppy except on Blockbuster and especially Freefall. I lapped those the remainder of the day harvesting perfect sweet corn. The pictures don't do it justice. I normally don't stop for a beer mid ski day and normally save that for after except for when the spring conditions and weather is prime. Today was that.

Was good to make it back after a few years.

Face how often do you ski Plattekill?
Not often at all ... last time was 2014.

I had worked the glade cutting day this past Fall and so I had a voucher ... I wasn't really sure if I was ever going to use it, but then it turned out that I had to be downstate this weekend, so I brought my gear down with me and figured if things worked out, I'd give it a go. I was only able to stay for a few hours, but it turned out to be an outstanding Spring conditions kind of day!

Very cool.

How many inches does it take Plattekill to consider opening midweek if there are no private rentals booked? I'm probably headed to Windham Tuesday on my pass hoping this forecasted light event comes in closer to 3", but it seems like Platty is in great shape and would be really great with a few fresh inches.

Any idea what the latest weekend they may be open is? Gonna be in the area on April 22, but assume that is very unlikely.
