Wow. Are they operating normally on Xmas week?
 
Don’t know. I keep reading about scabs from Heavenly and other resorts but not sure what’s real vs what’s fake

Yup. At this point I think it’s safe to say this with the more successful destination type resorts. They don’t have an excuse imho to pay shit wages for their experienced patrol staff. The best at that job have many years of experience to do what they do and do it well and safely. Snow science ain’t no joke.

I have more than a few friends that have been buried while doing sketchy control routes and know of plenty of others that have been killed doing that job.
