ORDA may very well be interested in bidding for an alpine World Cup at Whiteface. But given the way these calendars are planned, if there's a bid, it's prolly for 2 - 3 years down the road. Curious as to what, if any, changes FIS would ask for the venue.
 
Even though it's improved, can Whiteface open a slope to race on by Thanksgiving? I'm sure it's possible some years, but really iffy others. Love to see it happen though even later in the year.

NYSEF is going to have to pony up some more bucks to make that happen.
 
The FIS calendar only has races in North America in November and early December. With the current snowmaking system, if they do that, it would mean zero public skiing until after the event.

Agree about the public access in Nov. and early Dec.
The World Cuppers are gonna race this year at Tahoe and Aspen later on.
