Art Lussi, an attorney, is the President (and one of the owners with his sister and brother) of the Crowne Plaza Lake Placid and the Lake Placid Vacation Corp. He has been President since 1991. The Crowne Plaza is right next door to the $19 million Olympic Conference Center. His father, Serge G. Lussi, and mother, Caroline Lussi, were the previous owners of the Crowne Plaza and the Lake Placid Vacation Corp. Serge G Lussi was a member of the ORDA Board starting in the 1980s thru 2014. Art Lussi has been on the ORDA Board since 2017.
Art Lussi is also Co-Owner of other holdings: Lake Placid Club Golf Courses and wedding venues, Lake Placid Marina and Boat Tours, and a partial interest in the Lake Placid Hampton Inn and Suites

Lussi said he has had trouble getting 20 new golf carts @ his place in the last Friday's ORDA board meeting.
Dang 1st world problems ... FTW.

My company rebranded its logo last year. The money spent in meeting to come up with the idea not to mention the major expense incurred to implement it is staggering. Im waiting. Any day now people are going to be storming in.

NYS budget gets passed “late".

not a single board member voted no on any of this. Absolutely clueless

They really should be spending more on operations to actually make some snow to get what trails they have open, and spin the lifts already there which sit idle during peak holiday weekends.

If they really need to deplete a $35 million cap ex pot, how about some increased snowmaking capacity, snowmaking on the Belle XC loop, a nice fixed-grip skytrac or partek that doesn't go over flat terrain or disney bridges or the leveled remains of the most beautiful area of Belle, actually doing something with highmount other than cultivating weeds...

They all got approved too (21 for 21) in the last meeting on May 16th 2023. No abstentions nor nays.
The board members kinda wanted to see who could be first to move at all the dang motions.
