$105M proposed in this year's budget.

How about they blow some more snow rather than spending millions of dollars on lodge and lift upgrades. What is there even to upgrade at this point? They don't even use all the lifts and trails they have.

Taxing rentals to fund the ORDA ski areas is pretty anti-competitive for the dozens of private operators in NY such as Plattekill

Classic ORDA!! A 30 million lodge for a pod that is rarely used! Brilliant! Now they will have to steal snowmaking from another part of the mountain to justify this lodge. I am sure this will increase the yearly visits by 2500. At least they remain consistent at spending money on big projects that are only used part time by a few people (Burnt Ridge HSQ). By the way, the NC Snow Bowl is not open today :ROFLMAO: .

Here is an idea - how about spending the money on more snowmaking power so that Burnt Ridge HSQ is open for more than 2 months a year?

They’ll use some $ to blow snow so the folks that own the land they swapped the state for a few years ago can ski to their houses, & condos.
They’d be nice places and increase the tax base.
Now if they can shut down the black flies and put in a golf course you’d really have something. ...

Didn't see that coming!
In truth I'd heard this from a source inside ORDA years ago. Not the mega lodge but the mountain coaster zipline thing.
