Oak Mountain Conditions

Oak was great today. They dropped the ropes on all of the Eastside trails, and left the upper portions of Alternate and Skidway untouched. Skidway is a real black on top, luckily there was deep powder to soften the drops. Basically every trail was open, and soft corduroy was everywhere, plus great pow stashes. If you didn't ski until your legs gave out, you weren't trying.

Skied Saturday (1/28) with some old friends. Packed powder conditions. Most of the trails appeared open and had good coverage. No bare spots. Never felt crowded and everyone was super friendly. Grabbed a decent burger and Ubu for après in the Acorn (Fiddlehead keg kicked earlier in the day). Unpretentious and vintage vibe. Good place to knock the rust off.
