@Sbob: I wasn't able to watch the clip -- the dust went eastbound around the world from the Sahara and ended up in the Bahamas? It travels all over and has been for ages
Gah, that would have been a complete ski-trip killer. Almost as bad as the dripping grease at GP!"Not great here in the Arlberg either. That brown stuff is grippy. It got darker as the day went on."
I watched a documentary years ago (can’t find it) that said it went West. That’s what popped up on YouTube first, no dialogue but it travels West on an almost regular timeline.@Sbob: I wasn't able to watch the clip -- the dust went eastbound around the world from the Sahara and ended up in the Bahamas?
Upper level winds tend to be west to east.I was living in Nice, France during Chernobyl. I still remember the warnings on TV and radio that the radioactive cloud was approaching and that we should, no joke, wash any fresh fruit and vegetables before eating.
Never understood how the cloud could move due west. @jasonwx, can you explain?
