Have yet to ski/hike Yurp-Trentino, it’s on the bucket list.

@Scottski63 and @raisingarizona, looks like we dodged a bullet with the timing of our trips: Sahara sandstorm in the Alps.

Folks say Sahara sandstorms led to uncovering Otzi the iceman in the Alps when some hikers found him.

Sahara sand is apparently not uncommon across western Europe during the winter. Here's the previous occurrence in Feb 2021.

Winter IS basically over. The next possible model twitch with precip is for the end of March /early April.
Looks like 10 degrees and sun across most of the Alps for the next 10 days.
