Today my wife came across a post card that someone posted from the Switcback railway in Jim Thorpe Pa.

The snowboarders beat me to it that day.

That’s cool. Looks a lot like the old incline railway on Mt. Beacon which was adjacent to Dutchess Ski Area.

I knew about the ski area but not the railway. My uncle’s cousin lived in beacon and we stayed with them on a vacation maybe a few years after Duchess closed.
I spotted the overgrown trails and wanted to do a hike but ran out of time.
