Really? Would new trails through Straightbrook, Twister and Cirque glades be impovements? Those are all in the UMP.A new trail, with snowmaking is typically always an improvement.
That's a good point, I hadn't thoght of that. The lower part of Barkeater is what causes it to often be closed, due to insufficient coverage. If there's an exit onto the trail that bypasses the lower portion, the the upper portion should be open more.
I'm not so sure. I don't think they need to maintain a good surface or patrol it to keep it as a work road. They may leave it on the map but it will be up to patrol to keep it open. I doubt that patrol cares that we can't ski top to bottom, or Abenaki for that matter.Of course Pipeline will stay open. It's a major work road, and the only way to ski the full vertical. It's not going anywhere and neither is Abenaki.
I support cutting a trail through Cirque Glades. That way you can get back from Burnt Ridge without using the often-closed Echo or the painfully slow North Quad. I seriously doubt the others will be cut.Really? Would new trails through Straightbrook, Twister and Cirque glades be impovements? Those are all in the UMP.
Pipeline is a narrow, flat trail that's easy to cover. They make snow on it like once, and then don't come back to it. I actually prefer it to access Burnt Ridge over Cedars if Echo is closed for racing. If they're already maintaining it as a work road, then there's no reason to close it. They just regraded it not too long ago to eliminate the parts that go uphill. It's not going anywhere.I'm not so sure. So the ski bowl become easier to access and you still have both glades. That seems like high value. The value of this is gonna depend on how much traffic they can move to Ski Bowl and how much of Barkeater and Abanaki are lost.
He's channeling X!Just stop.
The is why the trail is going from the drawing board to the real world, after these many years.the new lodge they are building
It's gunna be alright my brotha.
That would be high value, but what if you don’t have either glade? So the ski bowl become easier to access and you still have both glades. That seems like high value.
Nah, just wait till ORDA’s shiny new zip coaster thingyOnce again a whole lot of keyboard jockies that think that they know the "best way" to improve Gore. Go outside and play in the sand, or better yet bury your heads in it, because your heads are up your asses now!
