The long awaited Burnt Ridge to Ski Bowl connector is finally being cut, and they are having a naming contest for it. It will run from the top of Burnt Ridge to just above bridge on Pipeline, and be rated blue. Also, it will have snowmaking right from the start and be about 60 feet wide.

I'm so excited for this. Not only will it provide a much needed additional trail for Burnt Ridge, but it will finally allow for a seamless transition in both directions between the ski bowl and Burnt Ridge. It also doesn't appear to be a clear cut of neither Barkeater nor Abenaki Glades. A win win for all.

FINALLY!!!!
The Burnt Ridge Quad was installed in 2008. Planned trails in this location have been around since the 1990s.

I'd think that bottom part of Barkeater--below the powerline crossing---would be part of this trail in order to make the bridge crossing to ski bowl.

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't mind because I'm really not a fan of the lower portion of Barkeater. It's always filled with rocks and never has enough snow. I much prefer the upper portion.

Looks like it’s proposed trail 11M in the 2018 UMP Amendment.
Folks can name it better than 11M.

According to whoever runs their instagram account it crosses Barkeater twice.
