I almost don’t want to point out the problems with this plan- just to preserve the entertainment value it represents. Be sure to get video of it sinking when the ice squeezes the hull together like a tube of toothpaste.

No doubt. I told him there’s good reason no one does that.
He swears he can bubble it.

In the Upper Peninsula yes, as far as the lower peninsula it’s a long shot for the Northern Michigan areas. As far as Metro Detroit I wouldn't count out Pine Knob or Mt Holly. All they need is two good nights of snowmaking and they are looking at a low of 25 tonight and 20 tomorrow
 
I'm curious to see when Boyne Mountain opens. Even for Brighton, Boyne doesn't bother to announce an opening date until a day or two before they are sure it's going to happen.
