McCauley Conditions

There may be some good powder stashes somewhere in the woods near the t-bar... :censored:

Yeah..I have no idea how many are left. Platt was the last one I rode many moons ago. Europe and SA they are everywhere..and those damn POMAS....singing soprano after those...

Went to McCauley for the first time this past Friday. Pretty cold in the morning, lost some skin off the tips of my fingers filling up at a Thruway rest area, and was probably about -10 when I arrived at about 9:30. Warmed up a bit, wasn't too bad.

Definitely worth the drive from the capitol region, especially with how cheap weekday tickets are.

Nice pics. To me Mac is one of those very photogenic places.

What inspired the adventure outside of the comfort zone?

Seeing pics and conversation here mostly. Plus, after actually checking the drive time, it's about the same for me as Whiteface is, which I usually do in a single day there and back. For whatever reason I'd had it in my head that it was 3 or 4 hours away instead of about 2.5.

Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Yup, I skied there today, but they were not making snow. The snow was perfect.

Hey, what do ya know, I was there too! I had to pick up my skis from Louie and figured I'd do a few late day runs. It was perfect. The rest of this weeks looks to be perfect too!

Big Mac skied great today. Bumps galore and plenty of snow in the troughs. Decamp had probably the best coverage I've ever skied.

Go get it!
Skied Mac again today, it never hit double digits but the snow was delicious. Plenty of light power staches, and the corduroy was perfect. They were blowing snow on Olympic, which was great to see.
