Labrador Conditions

Got atter, early for me, at the crack of a quarter after 10.
Parked across from Badger looking up at some new features for folks.

Cruised over to the triple and did some boomer groomer zooming.
Went to check out my favorite Ptarmy.

Looking up.

Only 1 run there as lift wasn’t spinning and the rest of the bump was easier to lap.
Should make for some sweet corn later on when it’s ripe.
Friend finally showed & I asked him to smile.

Lots of skiing fun. Snow was sweet rapid transit. Being near The Labrador Hollow helped keep the wind’s speed down.

Badger lift was most comfortable. Some shots from that lift.

Wind drifts were huge on Route 20 on the tops of the bumps & roads bare in the valleys.

Pitter patter let’s get atter again.
Report says 5” new in last 48 hours.

If I feel get to feeling sporty might take a peek in the glades south of Ptarmy.
Been a long time since I went on an adventure in there.

Got to Lab at the crack of quarter after 12 but didn’t ski anything south of the main triple. Did ski some narrow (non snowmaking) trails through the woods I ain’t been on in decades.
All the packed powder groomers ya can eat

& the sun even showed up a bit. Light got flatter after 3 so called it quits.

Drove by Song on the way home & half of Jupiter wasn’t groomed. We have gorges to boot.

Skied crack of 10 when Lab opens till past noon.
Great carving snow everywhere.
Started to thicken about half way down the run before last.
Last run was thicker all over with the dang boarder patrol still slashing.
Gave a thumbs up to the worker bee under the lift using a snow machine to pick up the remnants from Friday Night’s Freakout.

Daylight savings time is coming again soon in corn season.
It’d be nice if the starting time were adjusted based on harvestability.
What’s now 10 is gonna be 11.

Got there at the crack of 10:15 and recognized the same big rig green machine parked at Song a couple years ago.

Got to Song at the crack of 10 when it opened.
College ski teams were training on Bali and they had some gates set up.
Snow was great.
Did training runs too all over what's open as it was 1st time out this season.
Sun came out for ~20 minutes with temps @ 30F or so.
Groomers were pushing out the whales.
Friend said Lab skied nice yesterday too.
Skied to the car and this parked next to me.

Sweetsetup.

All ya can eat powderoy was being served as about 3” of lakeffect fluff was on top of the last groom.
Stopped around 1:15 after I dang dropped the remnants of my candy bag after stopping to refuel at the top.

Drove by Song and she looked to have main trails all groomed except for half of Jupiter.
