Also an understanding of basic protocols, overall style in regards to understanding group dynamics, potential dangers and variating circumstances. Throw in a big dose of adaptability, scene safety awareness and a mentality that thinks of the group as a whole instead of selfish objectives and yada yada yada.

The reality is that to get to that point where you have that bag of skills and knowledge we often have to make lots of mistakes, or at least I did but luckily I was lucky. :D
 
21 individuals.......Jesus Christ. They were doomed from the get go.
There was 21 at the extraction point and then 2 more showed up, making it 23. That’s got to be some sort of record.
 
or have sex, drink, do drugs, speed in cars, eat wild berries, talk to strangers…
To these points, I am told lots of research shows teenagers cannot appreciate the gravity of risk or the value of reward when making decisions, at least not to the extent of a pre-teen or post teen mind. Apparently there are literally pieces of brain moving around in those years.
