Katz Speaks

Maybe because I only ever come here on my phone…..but I don’t see anyone’s sig line?

Turns out you are right. No sigs on mobile. I didn't know that.

Kind of makes sense.

Try turning the phone sideways.

So why’d he talk to Stu then? Just to BS over coffee?
I've listened to a fair amount of Stu's interviews. Overall I think he does a good job of letting everyone share their story, but also hits them with timely and appropriate questions---all while being cordial.

That being said, the "corporate-y" ones are so predictable in their messaging and buzzword lingo. I haven't finished the Vail one yet, but several of the other ones had me gagging. The smaller, indy, and trade group ones are so much more tolerable and relevant. The guy from skiNY a while back was not nearly as polished as the Katz's of the world, but he told it like it is. And the Leah Muirhead McDonald one...that one was cool---talking about the business of supplying goods to the industry (like signage, lift tower padding, etc). Just a different view.

What I find remarkable is how the Vail's of the world think about "guest experience" vs how the West Mountains of the world think about "guest experience".

I know there's a lot of Vail chatter here, but, this deserves its own thread.

Vail Resorts Inc linked to it in Broomfield in their “news" highlights.
