In Memory Of...

It appears that I never got around to commenting on this incredible guy, originally from the Finger Lakes. What a life lived, only to die that way on his home ski mountain of all places.

Interesting how both he and Bob Peters landed in Jackson Hole under similar circumstances around the same time, the winter of 1974-75.
It seems that Wade McCoy also discovered JH around that time too.

Great cover. The powder, skinny skis, sunglasses and hair helmet… RIP OG Ripper.

He was a class act. Not only did he do so much to promote skiing but also fly fishing. The film A River Runs Through It, that he directed and narrated, led the sport to more than double in size.
