If Rivian gets to R3, their will be lots of ppl in those vehicles. I think R2 will still be pricy now that tax credits will be gone, but then again, I think random ICE midsize SUVs are in the 45 range anyway. Hoping for a strong R2 rollout.

My son will be driving age in 2.5 years. I don't know if I would put the coin on R2 given the R1, but it would be cool to have an r3. I just don't think the r3 will be out in 3 years.

If Rivian were to fail, I think someone would buy them, like Amazon, or perhaps a legacy car maker. Certainly now VW is a candidate as Rivian is basically making all the software for the EV VW platforms going forward. I think R2 will be a very worthwhile vehicle, I just don't see how they will actually get it 45k. If it sticks at like 57k price, it is still just a lux vehicle that won't be bought in mass quanity.
 
The good news is that I think RJ still has control and is a billionaire, so he ultimately won't have real pressure to sell unless it is clear that Rivian is not a going concern. So i also think they will make it.
 
The keyboard player in my band owns one of those Ford Mustang EVs. Last night, we had a gig in Bloomingdale (NY). He was driving back from central NY, took a different route than usual. Dang near ran outta juice. The charging locator app pointed him to one charging station that was disabled, and another one that was under construction. He ended up at the Wild Center where there's a slow charger. Friend of his had to go get him and bring him to Bloomingdale.

I assume this is the way a Tesla practically stops (to regen I assume) when you take the foot off the gas?

The Maverick does this in eco mode. I really don't like it, so I'm driving in normal mode. I drove the CRV in eco the entire 60k miles. But couldn't tell the difference between eco and normal.

I popped the hood on the Mav. The wiring looks sloppy to me. Like it was done by someone who didn't care. Also got some kind of buzzing coming out of engine when there is back pressure (foot off the gas going downhill).

On the upside the mileage has been good. Over 40 overall (400 miles, mostly highway). Got over 50 driving to Chestertown a few days ago. The acceleration is good too.

I've never driven them, but on paper the Equinox and Blazer are the first US EVs that actually hold up on a true apples to apples comparison with the Model Y. No FSD though.

I love 1 pedal driving. Once you get used to it it's hard going back.

My guy likes the vehicle. It's just that he took a different route than usual from Syracuse, and no EV chargers.

Since VW wagons and Audi A4 wagons are no longer brought to this country, I was thinking that this might be a good replacement for the current wagon.
