Cox Automotive, widely recognized as industry experts, have decreased the forecast for EV sales this year. They were projecting about 10% of the market to be EV sales, it's now expected to be about 8.5%.

If you're a two car family you don't need 300 miles. You plug in every night. They are perfect for the daily driver with a gasser in the garage for vacations.

You're not wrong right now, but hopefully in the future energy density and/or recharge times make it so you don't need the gasser.

Even though I have the Thule Box and snows on the Alltrack, I found myself taking the Tesla skiing whenever it was possible last year. I'm debating about putting snows with smaller after market wheels on it this year.

I Did! Yes 30 Amp service, so not quite full level 2, but it will fill up a Model Y in 4-5 hours. Only problem I had with it is that you need to use an app to set it up and pay, but there is no cell service near the chargers. You have to know to connect to the Platty Wifi. My wife didn't know that and threw her hands up and said it didn't work, so I had to trudge down in ski boots.

I really wish these destination chargers would just let you swipe your credit card, or NFC chip.

Cool. First time I've heard of using radio collars on goats and sheep. Does that mean a system like a used to keep dogs in their own yard without building a fence? Had one back in the 1980s. Goats are smart. Sheep . . . not so much. But with a smart sheep dog around, they probably won't stray.

Traditionally, Jay Peak mows about 340 acres of trails and glades each September and October, using a crew of 10 seasonal workers with gas-powered trimmers. This year, the resort has contracted a Vermont-based farmer to bring a herd of goats and sheep to handle part of the job.

The animals will be outfitted with radio collars connected to a cellular-powered geofencing system and will rotate through 2-acre sections every two days, grazing the vegetation down to the target height of 6 inches. A trained guard dog will stay with the herd overnight to deter predators.

They use goats to keep some of the wooded areas cleared at Biltmore estate and park in Asheville, NC. That's based on more traditional fencing since they stay in an area for several weeks before being moved.
