ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

You know it's OK to admit that you bought it because you wanted it, or whatever the reason.
Agree
They're fast AF

TJ was the first person on the planet I ever heard say he wanted one. He never said why, he just said he wanted one. That was forever ago! The very first time I met him I knew he was nuts -- LoL

I learned something from @TonyC at FTO. He told me his Tesla works out to about 30mpg. That really surprised me. I just assumed it was cheaper. For him it works out great because he's got free charging for life (of the car).

He also told me that it's MUCH cheaper to charge at home, so that impacts the math.

I never said any different. I didn't get a tax credit. Everyone knows why I bought it. The longer I have it I can see it is going to be more economical than any other pickup. Oh and not blowing smoke if an added advantage.
Pulled a dump trailer to Tully this weekend. Pulled stumps, plugged a hammer drill into it to disassemble a retaining wall. Plugged the trailer into it when the battery on it would not push the dump up anymore. Started the morning with 152 miles. Worked all day with it. Ended with 135 miles.

Ah yes, someone told me something so it must be true.

You're right, I got it wrong. I went back and reread the thread, he said 60mpg equivalent when he charges at home.
