Sorry to be dense. Can you tell me what you mean?Lyon is history.

Lyon is what it is - good place for climb-the-hill BC skiing due to high base elevation, slope, snowfall, lots of open hardwoods, with natural or user cut ski lines from the days when it was owned by an absentee timber company. Some of the lines look like any glade ski you've ever seen, others resemble cut trails like on Wright or Marcy. Since the state takeover some lines are getting a little overgrown, some not, still good skiing. But, west of Plattsburgh, it's too far away for many skiers. The APSA people are focused on moving state agencies to make it possible to create BC ski specific trails elsewhere in the Park in more accessible locations.Sorry to be dense. Bozeman to Burlington round trip airfare $240/person and we might still be waiting for vax in Montucky.Ya should’ve been able to get a jab in Bozeman Montana. Why fly across America to get vaxed in NY? And don’t make fun of our snow. Skiing is fun here too. February was sweet.
Hope ya made some fine $ from folks house sitting that pad for ya too.
So since the state acquired Lyon the "maintenance" has stopped?Lyon is what it is - good place for climb-the-hill BC skiing due to high base elevation, slope, snowfall, lots of open hardwoods, with natural or user cut ski lines from the days when it was owned by an absentee timber company. Hadn't been there in years and hard to tell in the winter but I'd say yes, mostly. But there's lots of open, natural or cut, because the canopy suppresses the undergrowth, one of the things that made it appealing in the first place. So since the state acquired Lyon the "maintenance" has stopped?
Is there any cleared "tread" or trail in there corridors? Are people allowed to ride ATVs and dirt bikes on these in the non-winter months? Are they any fun to mountain bike? The snowmobile trails are the same
Anyone can get one today if you are willing to drive to Billings... we might still be waiting for vax in Montucky.
Sure, but it's only likely to happen as part of a larger scheme. State agency staffers and some environmental groups realize that BC skiers as a legitimate recreational user group are being left out of the regs that define what's possible for trails.Thanks. It seems to me that RonKon really wants to be able to maintain it.
Had our second shots Feb.18, local pharmacyAnyone can get one today if you are willing to drive to Billings
I'm not sure what you're asking? Is there any cleared "tread" or trail in there corridors?
No. The only place that has trails for ATVs etc is the Tug. You have to buy a permit and stay on dedicated trails that are patrolled. I've never done it but would like to.Are people allowed to ride ATVs and dirt bikes on these in the non-winter months?
I'm sure they would be but I'm not sure if it's allowed. Are they any fun to mountain bike?
