Hickory Ski Center Might Be Reopening

I think they are trying to get a feeling of interest, maybe they will try and get people to invest prematurely in passes etc and if they get enough to make it worth while to reopen , or maybe they are trying to get on a pass?? how about it Doug are they looking into getting onboard with Indy Pass?
Interest will not be an issue.

Lift certification, insurance and snowfall is what is needed.

Indy Pass doesn't make sense. IMO. With the capacity limits I don't see upside for the mountain or the pass.

I'd be surprised if an HSC season pass is offered.

This was the message. I might be up for a concert & some outside drinking:

There were questions asked in the comments below this post about opening Hickory up this winter. Whoever operates the Hickory page indicated that there was a possibility that Hickory might be open by this winter season for skiing.

Can't really say much of anything, so maybe I shouldn't post now. But I spoke with one of the players this weekend and there is some optimism about this season. Plans are far from set so I can't really say anything more substantive. I'm hopeful we'll have something on the front page about this in the next few weeks so feel free to subscribe to NYSB if you want to get an email alert about this.

The party was a good time.

I spent a few hours climbing up to the top.

I was planning on being up there with some of you hosers, but no one showed up. So I had to do my toast all by myself.

More pics and my story tomorrow on the front page.

1/2 Day afternoons for less than $40 bucks a month seems like a better deal than $45 for 1 full day, just saying.
Just gotta hope she doesn’t get all skied off in the mornings.

As I recall the least rocky (aka needs the least snow to cover) from the top is Hare to Top Notch to Honey Run.

I find myself wanting to volunteer to cut the grass up there. Not even sure what you would cut it with. It's more like a jungle vs grass too. These huge tall ferns.

Another photo for stoke:
