Fall Weather 2025

So I’ve been trying to convince my cheap ass neighbor to cut his tree down forever but he’s been refusing to recognize the danger.

A couple years ago a huge chunk just missed me after I picked up my mail. I said it’s time I to take it down and I would rent an aerial lift and take it down from the top down. He didn’t want to spend the money 😡

So last night he picked up his mail and turned the corner….Boom . Just missed him 😵‍💫😁
The tree was about 65’ tall!!!

What a dumb ass.
We had a 75ft oak in our backyard that seemed healthy. I was grilling burgers when I heard a crack. I dove across our brick patio away from the closest tree (that oak). Out of nowhere, a 10inch branch broke off and almost killed me. It was pure luck as I had no idea were that crack came from. The branch landed on the grill, right where I was standing, destroying the grill.
My wife heard the boom and came outside to find me getting up off the patio bleeding from cuts on my hands and knees. Then she saw the grill and really started to freak out.

I had an tree guy come the next day and he could not say whether the tree was bad or not. The tree was gone 4 days later.
You never eff around with a potentially bad tree.

And some people wonder why logging is considered the most dangerous job.

I never wondered why I was called a grunt when I worked for the tree service.
It just made sense.

One of the best parts of that job was the different smells observed from the different kinds of trees/brush being ground by the big chipper. They all made scents.
