Low elevation should be fine. Thruway up the Hudson valley

It depends on where it switches from rain to Ice/snow coming out of Albany. If you are headed out of Albany to VT, the switch could happen within 10 miles of Albany. I have experienced a normal rain ride from NJ to Albany only to hit snow and need multiple extra hours to get to the areas in SVT.

I'm in Albany and hoping to get on the road around 6am on Friday but it's sounding like it will be a harrowing drive, I'm guessing Saturday will be an easier drive but would love to ski both Friday and Saturday. Can't believe I get to break out my new powder skis for my first day out.
