AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION

.LONG TERM /SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY/...
Seasonably cool temperatures (slightly below normal) and
dry/tranquil conditions then expected Tuesday into Wednesday, with
flat/neutral upper level flow and surface ridging to our south. As a
large upper level trough is forecast to dig across SE Canada into
northern New England, an associated cold front looks to pass through
late Wednesday. This front will usher in a chilly air mass into
Thanksgiving Day. At this time, conditions look dry, however there
is increasing uncertainty regarding timing of clouds and possible
precipitation arriving in our region late Thursday or Thursday
night, so have kept some low chances (20-30%) for precipitation
Thursday night to account for this uncertainty.
