Hunter is all lit up
I guess vail is different this year?
Here's the list of opening dates before Thanksgiving week for Epic locations as of Nov. 14. It feels more like the decision about when to start snowmaking and when to open is more of a local decision than in the past few years. There have been several early openings in Tahoe after the big storm dumped 1-3 feet. Other destination resorts have also opened earlier than originally announced. Snowbird went from Nov. 30 to Nov. 18 while Solitude opened a week early on Nov. 11
Mt. Snow was listed as opening on Nov. 11 back in August and still hasn't picked a public target date yet. The delay in opening was announced on Nov. 9. On the website, still says "Opening Day - coming soon" as of Nov. 15. That's pretty much what the Killington website says too. Killington typically doesn't announced opening day until much closer to the date.
