Catamount, Berkshire East + Bousquet

I have to say that the customer service at Catamount was awesome. I got to speak with a real person who helped me make the right choices for our current situation and made sure I got the best possible price. This is a big improvement over being on hold or completely unable to speak with anyone in customer service through the Epic Pass last year.

I really like Berkshire East and and it usually is not that crowded even on weekends. The only time there is line of more than a few chairs is right after lunch or if the lift stops for more than a minute or two. The problem I see there is the lodge. They put an addition on a few years ago but it is really just a restaurant/bar. The lodge itself is always crowded with bags all over the tables because there is no where else to put them. The tables are really close and if they take any out to provide social distancing the capacity will be severely reduced and make problems even worse.

Here's what BEast was doing during the summer to satisfy MA guidelines and requirements. Presumably they will use that experience as they come up with detailed plans for the winter season.

Catamount is going to replace another double with a triple. Glade is 49 years old. It goes to the summit, which is also served by a quad. Won't be in place until the 2021-22 season.

Wonder if the chairs from this double get moved to the blue chair at Bousquet.?

Took at look at the Bousquet website for the plans for lift access. For lift tickets bought online, there will be two 4-hour sessions, AM or PM, plus a 3-hour night session. I didn't realize that Bousquet installed RFID. I think season passholders don't need a reservation but it's a little unclear.

The Berkshire East deferral policy has an interesting twist. If someone decides by the deadline, Dec. 10, to defer their Summit (all three locations) pass to 2021-22, then if they choose to buy a few day tickets during the 2020-21 season, they will get a discount of 20-30%. Have to scroll down to see the policy on the pass webpage. The goal is 90 days to be considered a full season.

They may be color coded for example green for morning, red for afternoon, so lifties can spot tickets that have expired.
