Building a House with Wood

beautiful !!!!
only thing i would have added to the kitchen is a insta hotwater , game changer...

Tell me about that? Can I add it?

It takes a long time to get hot.

Easy to add but they need to drill into granite
Instant 200deg water for tea /coffee and cooking

Thank you DB.

I remember @sig saying, early on in this thread, there will be stuff you wish was different, but in the end it will be a good house. Or something like that.

One piece of advice you gave that was good, that I didn't really execute...

"Look at the siding in all lights" was good advice you gave me. It looked grey in the sample but it's clearly blue now that it's on the house, not a fan, but I have only myself to blame. As Camp would say it's not very "Adirondacky."

just wait a couple month to really appreciate the runtals. they are awsome. Place looks great. Love the open space. Give you one more piece of advice. Don't pour a glass of whiskey and stare at all the things you would of done differently. i truly drive myself crazy doing that.

the key there is to pour second one and say "aaah fuck it, its still awesome!"

I've tried to hire someone to help me spread my topsoil and driveway stone but everyone good is booked solid until the ground freezes.

It's becoming clear to me that to finish this house I'm going to need to rent a skid steer or a bobcat or something.

Who's got experience with a skid steer or bobcat?

Opinions requested: can I safely learn to drive a (track) skid steer if I've never done it? I may try to rent one.
