Anyone... what do I do able rain dripping of the roof that splashes on the house?

I googles something called a drip path?

It there were gutters this year, they'd be on the ground.

I suffered some roof damage on the lower roof. Need to add snow stoppers (what are they called?) to the upper roof.

My buddy with a metal roof put a line of stone on the ground under the where the water comes off the roof. Works fine and the water drains through the stones. You could put perforated pipe under that if it puddles to drain it off away from the house.

Can't speak for trackbiker's friend but we set up a similar path with 1" crushed stone and drainage pipe. In more decorative areas we put river rock on top of the gravel.

Are they fairly foolproof? Like they always prevent a big slide?

How do I figure out the likelyhood of total snowfall exceeding the roof's capacity for weight?

I'm honestly not sure as I don't have a metal roof. Friends of mine do and they swear by them, so my gut tells me yes.

I think we need an engineer for your second question. All I'll point out is the ADK is full of metal roofs and it's snowed there for years and years.

He used a 1/2" decorative gravel. But you can use anything around that size that you like the looks of.
