Bring the Stoke

Soon.

Heading back to Boston for Snowbound Expo again. The dates are Nov. 15-17. If anyone is interested, PM me for a discount code that should still be good for free tickets.

What's new is that the Colorado Ski Shop (based in New England) is creating a Retail Zone. Sounds like 20% off on stuff plus special deals. The former ski show had a big retail sales section. Took a while for the current show management company to come up with a retailer interested in bringing in inventory. SkiEssentials had deals last year but stuff was shipped after the sale.

Should be easier to check out the resort booths because they will mostly be grouped together. Even Vail Resorts is there with booths for Epic resorts in NH and VT. Plus VR is sponsoring a special area called the Music Den. Alterra has been on board from the start. The big gathering area and bar in the center of the venue is called the Ikon Pass Alpine Bar.

People willing to donate outerwear can donate two ways. Either to BirdieBlue that has folks in VT making them into bags and such or to Youth Enrichment Services (YES), a non-profit that gives stuff out to kids so they can enjoy the outdoors with waterproof jackets and such.

Ski photo from the last time I went out with a photographer some 3 or 4 years ago.
I'm headed up this afternoon for the earliest opening day in Snowbowls history. This is likely the only day I'll ski this year. I've got a lot of work coming up so there's no tears over this, I'm stoked to trail build!
