humanitySeems like we all share something more than just skiing! ?
ugh last year i loaded my new (to me) 188 legends into my 5' bed and fit tested the tailgate. i guess i never shut it all the way and about 15 minutes away from home the car behind me was flashing their high beams. pulled over and the woman says i dropped a snowboard a few traffic lights back, sure enough the legends were gone but my daily drivers were still there. I turned around and one ski was on the shoulder and the other about 15 yards into a cornfield, tire track across it and the binding heelpiece was broken. To add insult to injury when i get to the hill my buddy who take the same route says oh yea I though I saw a pair of skis on the side of the road, wtf?!?!? As luck would have it found a single binding on ebay for $25. They were demo bindings and I ended up swapping them out anyway.I think the only thing I’ve left on my roof was a coffee cup. I’ve driven around with tail gate open a couple times but never came close to losing anything that way.
Won a cell phone when they first came out as a closest to the hole prize in a golf tournament. Went to a nursery’s tree auction and for some reason put the b*star*d on the roof of the caravan carrying a bunch of bushes inside. Once on the main highway doing 55 catch a glimpse of something bouncing down the road. Turned around and picked it up. Still worked fine but couldn’t text as that was before texting. Don’t make em like that anymore. Still have it.I left my phone on the car roof a few weeks back. It luckily slid down onto the windshield when I stopped at a red light.
