My son gets his ankle boot off hopefully Monday, and I am kind of on a sabbatical, so there may be some good weekday skiing in my future. A luxury I have not really been exposed to before. Even the occasional non holiday friday has been a dream.

Belleayre was getting too popular and ORDA came up with a plan to dial back the crowds. No worries, they will just find another company to finish the job. Who cares when it will be done and how much it will cost.

Any word from ORDA CEO Ashley Warden?

Not a peep from anyone about Belle’s lodge issue at today’s meeting.

Resolution #549 - Resolution Granting Approval for a Large Circus Tent with Food Trucks and Porta-Potties for Belleayre Ski Center.

For some dang reason it didn’t come up.

The resolution for the update to the olympic training center kitchen-dining area was approved, along with the “project labor agreement” for The Ho’s refrigerated track & stuff.

The general contractors who were awarded the bid did terrible work. After many attempts to get them to fix it, the hard decision to fire them was made. The job now needs to be rebid and there’s lots of legal red tape too.

Today was dreamy. Super light crowds on the Hawk Quad. Rode right on to the lift from 9:30 to noon when I left. Lots of untracked still to be found and the quality of the snow is better than the past two weekends. You wouldn't even know about the gondola and lodge drama if you were posted up at Hawk today. Wondering if they limited day ticket sales more than usual because of the gondola being down, it felt downright quiet on the hill.

Good stuff. I guess this goes in the 'gotta go to know category' - I would have assumed today would be a disaster based on the circumstances you referenced. If they limited tickets, that is kind of cool, based on the gondi and lodge.

Conditions have been so good. My son Derek skied three days in a row. His friend and myself joined him yesterday. Stayed over on the east side. Everyone skied where ever the wanted to.
Too bad it’s gonna warm up. My Blizzard Brahmas love the natural snow groomed in. Hero snow all day long. Lots of fun runs also in the cut up natural snow.
No wait at Belleayre express or Overlook lifts all day

Another fantastic day. This run of great skiing is coming to an end but hopefully it’s a sign we’ll have a great winter!
