Thanks X, I was looking at Google Maps and thought there might be some terrain below the road.

Was it connected or a separate pod?

Did you ever ski there?

I never skied Highmount. The lower section was a poma/green area across the street.

They should connect them. We all know Belleayre loves their skier bridges. They can build a couple more!

Was it a separate ski area below?

Tom's Tow is on the same side of the road as the main Highmount terrain -- see pic below. You can see it on the looker's left as you drive toward Highmount from the Belle access road. Isn't the 200-vert beginner's area mentioned above below the road? Maybe I'm mistaken; I trust Ripitz's info.

Tom's Tow was on the right going up Galli Curci Rd just before the left turn to the Overlook Lodge/upper mountain parking at Belleayre. It is not the lower section of Highmount.

Does anyone know the vert of Highmount?

Looks like about 800 feet on Google maps.

I just checked ski tracks and it says 850 on the nose. That would be from the top of the gondola to the road. 800 at Highmount itself is a good estimate.
