Bad Wipeout

Nope. Pretty indestructible from the front, as this incident proves. Sometimes I'd like to have that thing up front when the wonderful drivers get out on the highway.

Hard to tell, but looks like he didn't have snow tires. At the time the temp was mid teens so the snow on the road should have had some good friction. But he could have been just going way to fast. The other thing I noticed, it's a NYS DOT plow truck. article says he was on a narrow back woods road??? NYS trucks only plow on State roads so it had to be NYS Route 28. Or course anyone not from the area thinks all the roads up here are narrow and curvy.
The guy must have had to have a change of shorts after that fender bender, he's super lucky to be alive.

Yup. Some think it's back roads when it's the main drag.

I've encountered a few WRX drivers who thought they were Colin McRae.

I'm an impatient bastid, but sometimes ya just gotta take a deep breath and be patient. Thankful that I'm not as aggro as I was 30 years ago.

Me too but I don’t think I ever would have pulled that maneuver- not even at my worst mid-twenties indestructible dopiest.
Agreed. In those conditions, you're better off sitting back and waiting.

"The night before the three people got into trouble, New Hampshire Fish and Game reported that a 23-year-old hiker from Kentucky had been rescued after going off trail and into the Ammonoosuc Ravine."

The hiker “fell and hit his head and face, lost one of his sneakers, and eventually became hypothermic,” the agency said in a statement.
