Any Day, Any Race

A bloodied lip and skiing at 6F without a glove is bad but me thinks this is far worse. YMMV
Dude must have been underdressed. What, no wind briefs?

FIS lower limit to put on a nordic race is -4 F. One year at the Gatineau 55 km in Quebec, temperature was -20. Organizers go, zut alors, we start ze race anyway. Guys froze their privates and worse, several people got taken to hospital. One of my friends has to bundle up like it's 20 below when it's 20 above, since then. Luckily I wasn't there that year.

Skied on one of the LP golf courses today. Crust covered with a bit of powder. Snowing a bit every day. Just waiting for the big one.

FIS cross-country world cups this weekend in Gallivare, Sweden. Technical race course that plays to Diggins's strengths. She one the 10k skate race on Saturday:

Men's and women's relays today. US women came third. US men came fifth, which is a good result for them.

EDIT: Diggins and Brennan are now 1-2 in World Cup standings. First time that's happened for the US.

A couple GS 3rds for Shiffrin & a couple wins for Fredrica Brignone at Tremblant over the weekend.

Huge day for the US cross country team in Oestersund Sweden today. Men: JC Schoonmaker ripped his first podium, with bronze in the classic sprint. Ben Ogden right behind him in 4th. Diggins and Brennan 4th and 5th for the women. Check the video. Nuking snow over there.

Oestersund, Sweden, earlier today. Another 10k interval start skate race, another win for Diggins. Brennan and Sophia Laukli also in the top 8. After so many years in the wilderness for 'Murrican nordic skiing, this ain't getting old.

Shiffrin has some races coming up in The Alps. GS-Thursday, Slalom-Friday.
I guess being nice & chillaxin are good for ya.
There she goes ⛷️again.
