Also looks like this weekend's storm won't be as wet as predicted. I'll be really interested to see how they manage them over the holiday week next week. What a great year this has been for WF.

    Whiteface Conditions

Whiteface skied great this morning. Not a lot of people here today and many of them racers. Parkway Upper and Lower were closed to Joe Public for racers but ROTD was Skyward for sure. Just outstanding. Knee deep wind blown powder on the sides and fresh corduroy in the middle. Cloudspin was great...

    Whiteface Conditions

Ski patrol mentioned avy danger today, but we're hopeful it would mitigate in the next week. Given that Thursday is a dry storm and next weekend looks like a wet one, I have my doubts. The mountain was awesome today. Mountain Run was great off the bat. Then Empire had just enough tracks to be...

Most everything except Mackenzie was great today. Best shape I've seen the mountain in for a long time. More snow tonight, next week, and next weekend on the way. Unless they want to avoid the shit show that having them open during a holiday would generate, they should be able to open the Slides...

It's all about the blue one. The pink is way too feminine. I'll be on the hill Saturday through Tuesday and I'll post conditions if no one else beats me to it.

Endo's All Time Favorite Skis Thread

I had the Salomon Force 9s in the early 90s. They were great bump skis. Still can't believe I was skiing 197s back then. I'm only 5'6"!

This is good news. Obviously a long way to go and, yes, this could have, should have happened a long time ago, but it's good news.

I actually really enjoy a double. There's something lost in a quad even though it's more functional for sure. My only issue with this is that I would rather see the reservoir and replacing the summit chair have higher priority.

    In Memory of My Dad

Well, that's not a bad thing. Not what I would have placed at the top of the list though. Thanks for posting that.

I'm thinking about that too! I'm hoping to be living in Europe that year so it wouldn't be such a huge lift and I've never been to Iceland!

So we did go through E Town and New Russia rejoining 73 at disfunction junction to get to 87. Sounds like that was the right call.

Total Solar Eclipse coming to NY: April 8, 2024

The worst traffic was Keene to Albany. It got better, far from great but better, after that. It took three and a half hours to get to about Saratoga from Wilmington. That was leaving Wilmington at 7:40PM.

7 hours to get back to the city (normally it's 4 for me door to door). Well worth it though. Really amazing experience that I will not soon forget.

That's from our deck. Not sure what it was like in town but I heard there were a lot of cars in the lot at WF.
