Whiteface Conditions

The Ho has the mountain coaster. Zip line is at the jumping complex. That having been said, WF needs a zip line like I need a Maserati.

So WF is replacing the LWF Chair(s). Just checking the web cams, they have any view of the area blacked out? What, is there something top secret they don't want anyone to see?
I imagine there are folks working there all day at the moment. I would not want to be on a public webcam while I worked all day, I doubt most people would.

I wanted to put a cam on our job site, so I could watch progress and keep an eye on security. My GC said his guys would quit.

I'd quit also🤣 Maybe they can just take 1 picture a day from the same spot so you can have a time lapsed progression of the build.

My GC told me the story. They charge machine use by the hour and I guess one of the guys digging with the kubota, got off to do something, take a leak, not sure. He didn't turn the engine off, and the home owner complained she was being charged unfairly. The crew said they wouldn't work with a cam, and the GC backed them up.

All I can say is you got to trust your contractor or you are fucked. Respect and prompt payment is the only way I see.

The outside hasn't changed in months, but something inside the main floor would be cool.

We do have a cam that shows (a still pic that is texted immediately) who is coming up the driveway.

Webcams on ski resort construction projects are nothing new, and sometimes extra ones are installed, as large scale projects generate significant attention from the public. Previous ORDA projects had webcams on them, like all 3 of the most recent lifts at Belleayre. With the way the cameras are placed, it's impossible to identify any person on the job site. I'm extremely disappointed that Whiteface is hiding it.

This whole thing reminds me of a joke an old friend of mine once told me. Not sure if it will go over well in text form but I'll give it a try:

There are three things that a man never gets tired of watching

1. Fire, a man can pensively stare into a campfire, a fireplace, or even an uncontrolled burn for hours and hours...

2. Water, a man can watch the waves crash on the beach, rapids on a river, or just the rain fall and never get bored

and number 3.....
