I don't follow the NHL in general, but happened to learn about this tragedy that was a bike accident on a road in NJ. The brothers killed were originally from Canada New Jersey and played hockey at Boston College.

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew were reportedly killed in a bike accident in New Jersey on Thursday night. They were 31 and 29, respectively.

They were from phillly ‘burbs in south jersey, sad and devastating on so many levels….they were home for their sisters wedding

Absolutely tragic beyond imagination for that whole family.
The main reason why I won't buy a road/gravel bike despite prodding from some of my mtb buddies.

Before I found the NY Post story, I'd thought they had been on motorcycles, not bikes.
Recalling an unsettling convo in Upper Jay many years ago. Guy complaining about cyclists on Route 86, and how gleefully he described one of his friends "teaching them a lesson."
