Belleayre Conditions

They could but they shouldn’t. Mid loading is a nightmare. Most human beings aren’t smart enough to avoid trying to load a chair that is already full.
That^ Plus, Belle doesn’t cater to early and late season hardcore. They barely keep Overlook alive on the shoulder and midweek as it is. All of their eggs and rentals are in the fugly “Scandinavian inspired” monstrosity that is already too small and needs to be blown out lodge below. Forget about uploading the headwall, just run the new Overlook chair. And the Toma Hawk Quad… that needs to go. I can literally walk faster. Sorry I missed closing day did anyone go?

No way, the lift is way too high off the ground in that area to facilitate loading. If they put a mid station in the unloading ramp will be huge.

Went to closing day, it was ok, just trails from deer run to Peekamoose open and it had been groomed a day or two before so it was kind of weird. Nobody made it across the pond. Stupid that they keep having it at the Discovery where there’s not enough pitch to get speed.

Didn’t know how high up off the ground the midshack is.
Dang nice room with a view but ya might need to take an elevator.

Anybody know where this learning area off the gondola is going to be? Doesn't sound like a great idea but I don't know anything about it

Anyone willing to summarize? I am all about making the mountain accessible to the little ones, but if this is a learning area at the top of the gondi, i think not a good idea. I may just be clue less as usual.

Good point. It just adds more cluster to the Gondi that already can get pretty backed up on a busy day.

This was discussed in another thread:

While Belleayre is also adding a restroom next to the new top gondola repair/ski patrol building, there is nothing in the UMP about adding a warming hut near this beginner conveyor lift at the top. The 'trail' is 112ft wide and 285ft in length with an 8% slope and right next to the topof the gondola. I wonder what they think is going to happen when the beginners/kids using this area need a warmup/food break/weather break? Back down the gondola? The only lodge at the top of Belleayre is the Sunset Lodge and that is about a flat 1/2 mile from the top of the gondola. Are they expecting beginners to pole 1/2 mile to the Sunset Lodge for an indoor break and, since there is no green trail down from the top, pole 1/2 mile back to take the gondola down ?

ORDA probably could have found a flat beginner area near the Overlook Lodge to serve the same purpose of having early season snowmaking for beginners.
