ORDA's Biggest Mistakes

The whole downhill course issues are totally on ORDA. UCI has rules for race courses and I'm sure they were followed. IF ORDA had disclosed those rules to DEC at the beginning of the approval process no one could have had any reason to object after the race.
Nothing to see here folks.🫣
Move along please.

Here is how I read that Snowbrains article about the UCI World Cup MTN bike race:
ORDA had verbal contact with DEC and they both came to the conclusion that there was no way to approve this formally in the time frame as it existed. ORDA said we will follow the rules as best we can and will take the hit after the fact. Now that the race is over, DEC says ORDA was very bad and now ORDA will formalize the track, whatever that means.

From another platform. Bell last week.

Reading between the lines there it seems like ORDA spent $40 million on something Johnsburg didn't really want.
I think if a mountain manager of a private ski area would be fired immediately if he called an elected official (with taxing powers) a liar in pubic.
The town isn't any better than ORDA. They procrastinated on building a sewer until they turned that Main St mosiac into an actual shit show.

mm

Also, if Ski Bowl is gonna be such a big attraction, where is the parking? Why not new lots there instead of Peaceful Valley Road?

Get your popcorn kids, can't make this shit up!🤠:poop:
Didn’t the previous Town supervisor, who rubber stamped the sewer project SEQR, hightail it to an island in Maine?
She sat on the APA to boot.

Maybe if folks :poop: their pants riding the zippycoasterthingy🍺ORDA won’t have to hold and haul as much.
The vegetation under it might get a bit of fertilizer to boot.
